The largest part of this piece is a truly amazing bollard which I imagine held many boats from drifting off into the ocean. The wood, especially at the bottom, thicker part has huge bolts through it and fabulous colours.The head is an African carved wooden bowl which had cracked and thus discarded. I added saw blades, metal bits both painted and plain as well as a top part that opens to hide witch doctor throw bones and other paraphernalia.
