The body of the halibut is made from olive tree wood. In Bethlehem, Palestine, a little shop was making rosary beads from slices of olive wood. These were the leftovers, once the beads were pressed out. He kindly gave me a bag full and after it travelled from there to Lanzarote I created this fat little fish!
